I'll have to read up more about MOCA 2.0 technology and how it works with 1.1 but there is limited documentation out there that I can find. This is a start! I think this may be a limitation on mixed devices on the same network. The menu in the XiDs now show nodes are connecting at 2.0. Today I installed the new XB3 router and iPerf tests are reporting 300Mbits. I contacted Xfinity Support to get a new XB3. He suggested replacing my older T862G router w/ the new T168G (XB3) Router as it is 2.0 Enabled. u/ccbrandon was able to confirm that the XG1/XG2s have 2.0 hardware with 1.1 firmware. Does anyone know if the Xfinity boxes are activated for 2.0 speeds or how to achieve this? I have MOCA 2.0 certified XG1, XG2s, XiD-Ps on the network w/ Actiontec MOCA 2.0 bonded ethernet adapters and I can't get 2.0 speeds. I counted the Mesh network nodes 0-9 and that works out to 7 digital boxes, and 3 MOCA ethernet adapters so I am not seeing where it is if the boxes are indeed enabled to 2.0.Īnyone at Comcast able to elaborate on the MOCA technology and if the DVRs are indeed just running 1.1 limits using 2.0 hardware? All the boxes I have in my household are now MOCA 2.0 certified, but it seems like they aren't enabled to 2.0 still. When I press to access the box service menu (exit 5 seconds, down x2, 2) I see that the MOCA connected node versions is still showing 1.1. Next was the 2x XG2, then 4 XiD-P all one at a time until they were all on live TV. I unplugged every moca related item, plugged in the XG1v1 first and let it finalize its boot. 5 minutes in the store and the CS rep swapped out my 3 boxes and fixed other issues that came out from the 3 chats (extra DVR charges). 3 chats later with no real results to swap the 3 boxes, I opt to go swap them at a local store. Great! I can swap out 3 of the boxes and the network will be MOCA 2.0! I did however make the mistake to try and resolve this through xfinity chats. I researched on for certified 2.0 products and I found out that the XG1v3,XG2,XiD-P were MOCA 2.0 certified. The MOCA mesh was dropping to 1.1 speeds because of the X1 hardware. I removed all the boxes and my iperf3 speeds went right back up to 800Mbit. My perfectly working setup is now drop 8x in speed. The minute these boxes were installed, my iPerf3 tests dropped down to 70-90Mbit speeds. Comcast swapped out all our boxes to the follow set: 1 XG1v1, 2 RNG150Ns, 4x XiD-P. ![]() Two weeks ago, the house got X1 Xfinity because it was cheaper than our existing normal Cable setup. I was very happy with this performance for the money. I ran an iPerf3 1GB transfer test and was getting a solid 800Mbit between 2 nodes. Prior to X1, my 3x MOCA 2.0 Actiontec EBC6200 adapters have been wonderful. I tried Powerlines, WiFi Extenders and finally found a good solution with MOCA 2.0. I have a unit in the back that requires some overhead ethernet run that would be far too expensive. Hi All, I've been struggling with X1 for the past 3 weeks to get them to play nice with my MOCA 2.0 Actiontec EBC6200 ethernet adapters.
